Possibly before you go down this route fit a plastic or tempered glass
screen protector which may disguise the chip.

Note anything proud of your existing screen will result in an air bubble
under the protector but if your chip is has only indented the screen
then possibly you may not notice the chip under the protector. To see if something in the chip is proud of the surface run a razor blade over the
screen in much the same way as shown towards the end of the youtube video.
