I do know I'd like to view that series but there is no audio description
done on it.
I guess its just a momentary digital lock thing. I've heard it also on
those who do OBs with digital wireless mikes being used. The older analogue kind just get a bit hissier.

Not apparent during commercials, nor on other channels, so I doubt it's
our TV (although it hasn't had a firmware upgrade since purchase, circa
2013 - thanks Panasonic!).
They were loud enough to be annoying, but didn't appear to be 100% mod
(the TV might have some sort of transient limiting algorithm though). I'd think (as heard) about 8dB below 100% normal modulation (IYSWIM).
I have no easy of doing any further diagnosis, but I was wondering if this kind of thing gets logged and is visible on-line...
