I've noticed recently that all the epgs seem very very slow to populate on
my Samsung. No idea what sort of epg is being read though, by the voice. One annoying thing is that when it speaks it gets the channels with Audio description spectacularly wrong, somehow detecting if the channel has AD capabilities, but not if the program itself has any AD, which as you know
is often AD in the bottom line of the program summery, which the set completely ignores. So ots a bit like Stereo FM where stereo stations with a mono program still light the stereo light up. I guess the programmers have
not seen what in fact is going on, at least in the UK freeview area.
Strangely my very old Goodmans box that talks does detect AD properly and bleep on the program when tuned to.
So much for standards.

I was just flicking through the EPG yesterday to see if anything I might
want to record, unlikely with Channel 4 but looked anyway.
From 07:00h on Saturday there is "No information available", same for
Film 4 and More 4.
This is the same on my TV set and two PVRs.
The over-the-air EPG? It seems to be working OK for me. I use TVHeadend
which (AFAIK) only gets its EPG listings from the OTA one, and there are programmes listed on Channel 4 as far as the end of Monday 10 October.
I've just updated the EPG on NextPVR that's installed on my laptop. I
hadn't updated it for several weeks, and I turned off wifi, so the only
way the EPG could be populated was through the OTA version. And that's got listings until the next of next Monday.
