All predicted a couple of weeks ago by someone cleverer than you.

    But... GOOD NEWS!

If you are prepared to pay a modest annual charge (ten Euros, that's all
it is - for a whole year), you could post continue to post to Usenet.

    News.individual.net (Berlin Free University).

Since chav-cyclists such as your good self are all (apparently)
Considerably Richer Than The Rest Of Us, the €10 is obviously a mere bagatelle as far as you are concerned.

On the other hand, it would be good to see uk.rec.cycling at last free
    of trolls.

“Friends all over the world. None in this country, though”…

    Tony Hancock, “The Radio Amateur”.

One might suspect that there is an element of relief behind the PP’s
posting; the effort put in to finding, posting, and obliquely responding to
the replies to all those motoring-related items must have been
    considerable.

He’ll never go to NIN. Being good Europeans, they’ll pull his account for trolling, and he won’t get his €10 back.

Tell the late Medway Bodgejob for me.
    And "Judith".

"Judith" is probably already aware of the impending changes.

PS: How did the moderated group go, after all the effort expended to set
    it up?

Some people (no names, no pack drill, etc...) must regret the day they
starting trolling uk.transport and uk.rec.driving... though it was ever
    such a long time ago.

Enjoy yourself playing amongst the tumbleweed!

    Which raises the question.

Which is better a dead newsgroup or one that is filled with one
monomaniacal poster and a few that can be bothered to argue with him?

I take the view that without the monomaniacal poster, I wouldn’t have to prefix my posts about cycling, in a cycling group, with the caveat
[Cycling] in order to distinguish them.
