A DRIVER has been fined after driving through a red traffic light in Somerset.
A police spokesperson said “the driver initially argued lights were faulty” but later added that “someone else was driving at the time”.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Red light offence (04/23) from Somerset.
“The driver initially argued lights were faulty but later changed his mind and stated that someone else was driving at the time.
“Mag Court (26/10) defendant didn't enter a plea, case proved in their absence.”
Police said the driver was fined £620 costs, was given a £220 fine, three points, and £88 victim surcharge.
