A DRIVER has been handed a suspended prison sentence for driving while more than three times over the drink-drive limit.
Sarah Draper, of Camberley, on Sunday, February 26, drove a VW Golf in St Peters Road, in Basingstoke, with 121 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 16, Draper was sentenced for the offence.
She entered a not guilty plea to the driving offence on Thursday, March 16, but was convicted of the offence on Wednesday, August 23.
The 54-year-old was handed an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. She was also ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work and has been banned from driving for 29 months.
Court costs of £500 and a surcharge fee of £154 must also be paid.
