    UK: 22 deaths per bn miles cycled

    Holland: 29 deaths per bn miles cycled

    So why do we want to follow the Dutch model?

    If the 1 in 6 of cyclists that are killed in single-vehicle accidents are excluded, the UK death rate would be about 14 per bn miles,
