Another cyclist SVA death. Some 1 in 6 cyclist deaths are SVAs, and no-one seems to be researching the causes.
Alcohol, training, inexperience, hubris, road surface, defective bicycle,
who knows? The cycle world doesn’t seem interested as these situations have
a much lower profile than the occasional cyclist collision at a roundabout
that will need £millions to address.

A 20-year-old man has died in hospital from injuries sustained in a bike crash in Ballyclare in County Antrim.
John Mackey, who is from the Ballyclare area, was critically injured when
his bike overturned on the Moss Road at about 17:10 BST on Saturday.
No other vehicle was involved in the collision.
PSNI officers have appealed to witnesses or anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or doorbell footage to contact them.
