Update:
Forgot to mention before that I also changed the batteries in the
keyfob and it looks like that was the problem. After googling I read
you only have 15 seconds to change batteries otherwise key loses sync
- Something the fucking handbook fails to mention!!! Sister gave me
the other key and it opened the doors and started first turn. Regarding >> the immobiliser light not flashing, turned out to be a
blown fuse which also affected the radio and clock. Replaced fuse and
immobiliser light started to flash again and everything else ok
(apart from the speedo - but I'll save that for another post).
Anyone know if it's possible to re-programme the keyfob without
involving rip-off Renault prices?

Thanks for the suggestions, I Tried everything with no luck but finally cracked it thanks to a very nice person on another forum who kindly gave me the 4 digit emergency code. I entered the code then held in the cent
locking button on the dash till the doors clicked twice and then pressed the fob a couple of times and it clicked into life. :-)
Hi,
I got the same problem. Disconnect the battery and connect again. But now the engine doesn't start.
Can you help with the issue? Or can you give the code to start the engine?
