    poor old dying Scummins, Jim?

    lost interst when I was on a bus that had a siran when the wheelchair
    hoist was deployed and the moderator blocked me saying that was an
    aircraft sound and I must be at it....nobody moderates me

    Agreed. About the only thing DSTAR has going for it is the in band
    messaging (which nobody seems to use) - the digital audio quality
    is crap and the silence between overs is disconcerting.

    I much prefer the noisy old style analogue FM gateways such as

    lost interst when I was on a bus that had a siran when the wheelchair
    hoist was deployed and the moderator blocked me saying that was an
    aircraft sound and I must be at it....nobody moderates me
