    It could be a quiet day. Two of my friends are not going because of the
    heat. I suspect that some sellers will also bow out.

    Well it certainly was yesterday!

    I went, and although there was a pretty good attendance of sellers and
    buyers, I'd say that things were definitely subdued compared with
    previous years. It was certainly WAS hot, and there was little pleasure
    simply wandering around looking for the few items I was interested in
    getting, and finding that they were absent. [There were a couple of
    things that (in retrospect) I regret not buying.] The only thing I
    bought was an icecream (when the van eventually arrived at 11 o'clock),
    and called it a day at 11:30.
