They might argue theres lots of mitigating reasons, e.g. Chip shortages,

"USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter required to work with iPad (10th generation)"
it says in the small print at the end. I suppose that means it has USB-C
but you have to shove the Pencil into a Lightning adapter and charge it sticking out the side...
(or perhaps a USB-C female to charge the pencil from a regular charger?)

Well, slight worries, but hey :-)
V.2 pencil support and the M1 chip seem to be the only significant differences
between the new iPad and the iPad Air. Not much for £170?

Now up the Store:

There's also a new Magic Keyboard Folio for the new 10th Gen ipad. With function keys and a trackpad. Basically a Mac. Not sure it's worth the
money (£279!!).

I don’t think the new iPad will be able to run the new multitasking/window thingamajig of iPadOS16 either.
