I have a "syncwire" USB-C ethernet dongle for my M2 MBP which works
great except whenever the mac goes to sleep it disconnects and won't re-connect until I physically unplug/replug it.
Anyone else had this and is there a solution?
This isn't a massive issue as I mostly use wifi, but on the odd occasion
I am in an environment where a wired connection is the best/only option.
I’ve had issues using the usb-c hubs widgets with built in Ethernet causing issues (one even caused Wi-Fi to disconnect too) - affected both my iPad
Pro and the MacBook Pro. So obviously down to rubbish design in the hubs.
I got a couple of plain USB-A style ethernet adapters off Amazon, and
they’re fine.
It was a ‘Maxesla 1000M USB to Ethernet Adapter’, but currently unavailable. Perhaps a UGreen (they seem to get good ratings for their
stuff) or similar.
