    Thing is, I have never used continuity camera, never intend to and have switched it off in the iPhone’s settings. Doesn’t help - still happening. Bug repeated, but it’s shouting into the void.

    Never seen that here. iPhone 16e running iOS 18.5 with Continuity Camera on.

    Currently doing a ‘reboot all the things’ bit in the hope it clears up. I wonder if it’s because I have a mesh network and the Mac and iPhone can end up on different satellite nodes.

    Bit of a delay replying. Yes - it should definitely appear to be that but
    some devices seem to have hassles hopping between nodes and stay connected
    for too long to their original satellite, which drops their performance when you move around.

    In this case, a bout of rebooting everything seems to have made it all go
    away.
