    Nice article, thanks. Agree with his final point - a 27" (or higher) M series iMac. Very happy with the M4 Mini I bought recently, but an iMac with a larger screen would have been very tempting . . .

    You are welcome! Interestingly, there are two versions /missing/ from
    the diagram!

    On my desk I have a 2008 24 inch iMac running Linux Mint .....
    alongside my Retina 5K, 27-inch, Intel iMac - neither of which is listed
    on Howard's diagram!

    A good friend of mine has just traded in his 24 inch M1 iMac and now has
    an Apple Studio display and a brand new Mac Mini. I suspect that I may
    take the same route when my current 27 inch computer eventually fails.
