I have an old MBA (mid-2011, I think) which was regularly used until

Thought I'd have a look at it, but it won't boot and only emits three
loud beeps on a loop.
I've tried resetting the SMC using these instructions, but before I can
get to step 5 of the non-T2 chip Mac it starts beeping. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/102605
Is it buggered? What other options do I have?
My long disposed of 2013 MBA started emitting 3 beeps and at the time I put it down to RAM issues. According to an article on Reddit (I think?), it might
be dodgy RAM, dodgy slots on the logic board, or badly seated RAM. Eventually
I sold the MBA to Jon at Bramley Computers for a few quid.
