Monterey seems to be working well on two 11" 2012 MBAs I've installed
it on. Just as fast/snappy (relativly speaking) as Mojave/Catalina was
on them. No real hassles setting it up. I already had an installer i
made a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it was for a different laptop but
when the time came I just got a (polite) error message with the offer
to create the correct one. That took about 15 seconds. The only other
issue was that it took 2 or 3 install/boot cycles to get it going (no
input from me required), so about an hour/hour-and-a-half all told. And
now I can use Universal Clipboard among other things!

    Hmmm, where's my sig gone?

I used it on my 2017 MBA and got Ventura running quite well. It does seem
to “mess” with SIP and I wonder if security is degraded as a consequence. I’m back with Monterey on my MBA for the time being.

Is SIP the one that stops you opening apps from outside the app store?
I just had to go into sys prefs and "Open Anyway" for Unison to get it
    running.

I started using it last year, when Apple released the new Photos 'Shared Library' feature. I needed to upgrade my iMac 2013 to Ventura, so took
    the chance with OCLP.

It's been OK so far, certainly no issues with overall performance.

Occasionally there is some trouble with graphics, as there is usually a
delay with updating the support for the 'Kepler' GPUs. They get updated
    soon enough though.

It's managed to squeeze some more life out of an ageing iMac, which
    otherwise would have become useless.

No problems with the iCloud stuff either.

None so far. Just check the OCLP updates page before installing though,
just to be sure it doesn't break something. It doesn't usually, and
point updates are normally OK anyway (at least no worse than normal :-O).

You may need to re-run the Post install Root Patch again, although it
usually offers a dialogue if it's needed.

Well not really, app signing and notarizing is a different thing. SIP
*uses* it, as Apple partly explains.

You're absulutely correct of course. Personally I'm still a bit concerned
about changing SIP attributes but the bottom line is that Monterey is still supported by Apple's anti malware procedures so my 2017 MBA is good to go for the time being.
