• W11 latest update (I think) strange things, things missing

From David@21:1/5 to All on Mon Jun 30 13:29:18 2025
When I came back to this laptop a week or so back it showed signs of a
restart (presume patch Tuesday) but strange things happened.

For example it seemed to loose my log in details for X, and tried to
    create me a new account.

I had some alerts from Microsoft about unusual account activity (4) all at
    the same time.

Wordpad have vanished (I think I had it previously).

    Paint looks different.

The printer drivers for my HP Colour Laserjet now don't seem to know that
it can print in duplex, although W10 still manages that.

Has there been some kind of major tidy up recently?

Oh, and LibreOffice has disappeared and I have had to reinstall it.

    Cheers

    On the printer front:
It didn't seem to be my default printer, but when I used the "set default printer" option Windows grumbled that it wouldn't be able to manage the printer.
I looked for drivers, but the HP tool only does up to W10 64 bit.
    No mention of W11.
I poked around and there is a tick box for duplex printing installed.
I changed that from No to Yes and printing now offers double sided.

No idea what is going on.

    Cheers

Sounds like you've just got a 2xH2 update, what does it say in
Settings > Windows Update > Update History ?

Oh, and LibreOffice has disappeared and I have had to reinstall it.
