Using Rufus 3.22 on Win 10 I am only offered the option UEFI (NON CSM)
for the thumb drive which says it will only boot to UEFI. I need MBR as
it is a legacy machine but can't find out which version of Rufus I need.
Anybody give me a steer please? I am happy to look at alternatives to
Rufus but it must boot a legacy/MBR machine.
Ventoy.

If you have the bootable Acronis ISO image just install Ventoy on the >thumbdrive and copy whatever ISO you want to the drive, Ventoy will boot
it, no need to 'install'.
Many thanks :-)
I have Ventoy set up but it seems to need UEFI to boot, I may have set it
up incorrectly.
I got this sorted in the end and managed to boot to Acronis then
discovered the image I had was corrupt so I just re-installed Win 10. It's pretty quick nowadays except for having to to re-activate Office which is
a nuisance.
Rufus 2.18 seems to be the last version where you can specify MBR but my
Z620 gave me the option of booting the Thumbdrive in either UEFI or Legacy
so no problems.

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists
or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies.
