April 1 is Lupus Alert Day.

This is significant to me since my mother had Lupus and died
in front of me when I was about 1.5 from a stroke, aneurysm,
or heart attack that was probably related to her Lupus.

Such an early (or even earlier) death of the mother is
said to be common to all buddhas. That doesn’t necessarily
mean that I am a buddha, but without that factor I would
be ruled out.

Of course it is also April Fool’s Day, so this fool is hoping
for good things for the world, even for criminals who start
behaving.

April 1 is not over yet in North America, though foolishness
is usually restricted to the morning, but anyway note that
this year April 2 is Childhelp National Day of Hope.
