And be very generous!
Yeah, your Emperor wants all of it to pay off the debt he created!
Whereas you accept debt created by Democrats?
Seems to me our problem isn't who created the debt but the fact that debt
has become a regular occurrence.
Even though we can't afford to even service the interest on the existing
debt.
At least not without massive, across the board, cuts in virtually
everything.
We generated about $4.5 Trillion last year. The interest on the National
Debt was about $1 trillion. So without paying down the debt we should have spend no more than about $3.5 Trillion. Instead we spend $6.5 Trillion.
Before you blame Trump, remember that Joe Biden is the one that signed off
on the 2024 budget.
So not only did we not pay the interest on the debt as we borrowed money to
do so, we also generated another $1.5 Trillion in new debt
This cycle of perpetual debt is one engaged in by BOTH sides. We as the
people who have to suffer the consequences of this should at least be able
to agree we need to get on government, regardless of party, and demand
massive and meaningful cuts in expenditures, with the objective of having a positive amount left to pay down the existing debt. If it's not vital, then
it needs to go. Starting with all the giveaways to foreign nations.. and I don't care who they are or why they need it.
We are bleeding ourselves try trying to run the planet. We need to see after our own needs first and foremost. Anything that hampers getting us down to a balanced budget needs to be denied. Once we accomplish that we need to see about getting a surplus to start paying off the debt. Anyone that votes on spending contrary to that object should be removed from office. We need a system to track our spending and to insure it's being used for the purpose intended, with criminal charges to those who redirect it to something else.
