    That's all they ever meant by it. They could never challenge the veracity or authenticity of evidence Lee or Holman or any other opponent put forward to support their claims; they just didn't *like* the evidence because it offended their ideological convictions. And that, of course, is at the root of Kremlin Girl's constant ad hominem dismissal of citations. She can't dispute a word of what's presented in the text, so instead she just smears the source as being "leftist." They aren't of course, even if editorially they are moderately left of center. She can't identify a single piece of reporting that any of those sources has *ever* got wrong and had to retract.

    And this is what's going on with all right-wingnut claims of "fake news." The news is *not* fake — it just displeases them for ideological reasons. Trump and
    Bannon and Trump's feckless pups *did* collude with Russia leading up to the 2016 election, and Mueller and the Senate intelligence committee *said* as much.
    It's just that the collusion was not statutorily criminal. It *should* be seen as a political crime, though.
