CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Shaker Heights man accused raping three women between May 1, 2021 and March 31, 2023 was arraigned in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Wednesday.

Michael Mann, 52, pleaded not guilty to all charges and the judge set bond at $750,000.

If Mann makes bond, he will need to be on a GPS monitoring device.

O’Malley said Mann would message women through on-line ads and offer them $2,000 or more to work as a server at a private event or high-stakes poker game at a hotel in Cleveland.

“Michael Mann is a disgusting individual who preyed on innocent women who were responding to employment opportunities,” said Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley.

Mann would sometimes use the aliases of Rick, Rico, Ricardo, and R, said O’Malley.

Once the women arrived at the hotel, Mann would allegedly demand a sum of cash for the hotel room deposit and then sexually assault them.

O’Malley said they believe there are additional victims, including victims before 2021 and as recent as 2024.

“People can’t do this. When more women come forward and speak up and speak about what happened to them it shows that this isn’t acceptable,” said Cuyahoga County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Megan Helton.

Helton added the attacks they know of occurred in downtown Cleveland, but Mann would allegedly reach out to women all over Northeast Ohio.

“We do know that he is contacting women from the Akron Canton area and from other areas asking them to travel and so it is very possible he was doing this in other areas,” said Helton.

If you have any information regarding these incidents, any additional incidents, or believe you were a victim, please call the Cleveland Division of Police’s Sex Crimes Unit Detective Richard Jackson at 216-623-5726.

    Mann was indicted on:

    Five counts of rape
    Three counts of kidnapping
    One count of attempted rape
One count of gross sexual imposition
He is scheduled to return to court for a pre-trial on Nov. 25.
