A man was arrested early Friday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a stranger in Northwest Portland, police say.
Princeton Owens, 23, was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, according to Portland police. He’s being held in the Multnomah County Inverness Jail on $20,000 bail.
Police said officers responded to a disturbance in the area of Northwest Kearney Street and 19th Avenue about 12:30 a.m. and found the sexual assault victim. Other officers arrested Owens.
Police didn’t release more information about the incident in a news release Friday afternoon.
They said Owens may face more charges. They also said anyone who has information about Owens or the incident can call a detective at 503-823-0871.
