CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A woman is facing a plethora of charges after allegedly engaging in and recording sex acts with a 4-year-old girl, Mecklenburg County court records show.
Warrants state that 24-year-old Rhonna Jasmiya Horton, a Charlotte resident, participated in the “lewd and lascivious” acts for the purpose of “arousing and gratifying sexual desire.” The warrants said some of the acts were caught on video.
Horton was charged with numerous offenses, including seven counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, four counts of statutory sex offense with a child by adult, and four counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Jail records show she was arrested last week.
Court records show she appeared before a judge on Monday and was appointed a public defender. During that appearance, her bond was set at $1 million.
