Former US Representative and registered sex offender Anthony Weiner
ridiculed Kamala Harris� failed presidential campaign during his
appearance on The View Friday (May 30), where he tried to kick off his own political comeback after getting caught sharing sexually explicit messages
with a minor.

When his segment began, Weiner wasted no time in referencing Harris� last
visit to The View, where she said she wouldn�t have done anything
differently than President Biden did during his time in office.

�Was this where Kamala Harris was sitting when she blew up her campaign?
Was this the spot?� he asked on the show, prompting them to laugh. �I hope
I don�t have the same fate.�

Many have blamed Harris� decision to stand by Biden in that moment as
being the reason she lost the 2024 election.

He later walked the remark back when Joy Behar asked him why women such as Harris and Hillary Clinton experience more difficulty succeeding in
politics compared to men like himself, Bill Clinton, and Andrew Cuomo.

�I made a joking reference to the answer she gave on this show, � is there anything you would do different? � that is the softest of softball
questions, every politician dreams of that question,� Weiner said, later adding, �I do believe that women get judged much more harshly than men
do.�

Weiner, who is now running for New York City Council, also addressed the
events that led up to him being thrown out office.

He told the ladies of The View that, at the time, �Anyone who wanted to,
can reach out to you.�

�I had no idea what was going on. It was dozens, and dozens, and dozens of people I was interacting with, sometimes it would be about how to fix
their car, sometimes it would be about something going on in Washington,
and sometimes it would be something inappropriate,� he recounted.

He continued, �When my lawyers went through my phone and everything else,
it turned out I involved myself with all kinds of people, 84 people in
total, and one of them turned out to be, to my detriments, someone not of
age.�

The former politician completed most of his 21-month prison sentence after
he was caught sharing sexually explicit text messages with a 15-year-old
girl. He was ordered to register as a level-one sex offender as he neared
the end of his sentence in 2019, per the Associated Press.
