Cities, states, just like the probibitions on gay marriage,
we now see the de-criminization of marijuana - in some

No the Drug War is not over. Lots of busts
for rec drugs still happening. Lots of states where
even cannabis has not been decriminalized. And it
is still illegal at the Federal Level which keep my
physician from prescribing and the Walgreen's from
carrying it.
(Except in Bidens White House for some reason)
The Drug War has been going on since the 30's. All it
has really done is spawn crime and deep corruption,
not to mention an excuse to put the lower-class and
"minorities" under the boot. The EXPENSE - fiscal,
ethical and practical, has greately exceeded the
proclaimed benifits.
That is true. As a matter of fact this is
what was said at the time.
"There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the U.S., and
most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos and entertainers. Their
Satanic music, jazz and swing, result from marijuana use. This
marijuana can cause white women to seek sexual relations with
Negroes, entertainers and any others... The primary reason to
outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races."
-Excerpt from the testimony of Harry J. Anslinger, director at
the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, before the U.S. Senate in
1937.
Notice that he is calling white women a "degenerate
race".
Now LOTS of cops and politicans get their secret cut
of the drug trade. The money is irresitable. Lawyers
and judges and prisons also make vast profits from
oppressing or defending druggies. It's an INDUSTRY.
Money is completely resistible as long as you
have a regular income. Drug Cartels in Central and South
America are still fighting over customers and profits.
Still lots of police and judicial corruption and maintaining
politicians in power takes some money and some of it
laundered is from Purity fronts for the profiteers.
But now it seems that's yesterdays industry, like the
village blacksmith.
Premature and the village Blacksmith can do
very well these days. Villages are a bit scarce
though in the USA.
Frankly, so long as it's No Big Deal, dope-heads can
serve perfectly useful and honest roles in society.
Addicted to whatever ? WHO CARES ? If you can get
it cheap and legal then it's NOT usually an issue
unless maybe you're an airline pilot or army general.
Or a private with a real duty and a weapon.
Or a private citizen driving an automobile. The
Citizen can be as deadly as the Army Private using
their car as weapon of mass destruction of human
life.
Lots of occasions where the value of
being Sober as in Un-intoxicated is undervalued
by young folks who may like to take risks
I am no longer young but 83 and my
Pfizer vaccine #2 is due today in an hour and
a half so will stop with the writing now.
