The Brooklyn man who left a woman to burn alive in his car after
he drunkenly crashed it on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway is a
coward who �violated humanity,� the dead woman�s mother said
through sobs as he was sent to prison Wednesday.

�She was not even human to him,� Rajinder Singh said as she
blasted driver Saeed Ahmad, 24, for killing her daughter,
Harleen Grewal, 25, in the October 2017 accident. �He sat behind
the wheel without [a] driver�s license, drunk, speeding, and
killing our daughter. Adding insult to her burning alive, [he]
turned his back, took a cab casually, with the [intention] that
she burns to ashes and no one will know who was there.�

Ahmad pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree manslaughter
last year, in exchange for a sentence of four to 12 years behind
bars.

He was caught on film calmly hailing a cab after slamming his
car into a barrier on the BQE. He left Grewal inside the vehicle
to die without calling 911.

�My heart is aching with pain due to me being responsible for
the loss of a very precious life,� Ahmad said as he was
sentenced in Brooklyn Supreme Court.
