Delta flight horror as plane forced to make emergency landing
with dozens of passengers rushed to hospital after severe
    turbulence

An international Delta flight was forced to make an emergency
landing after dozens of passengers were injured due to
    'significant turbulence.'

The airline says Flight 56, which was flying from Salt Lake
City, Utah to Amsterdam, was diverted to safely
Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, where it landed
safely at around 7.45pm on Wednesday.

It had departed from Salt Lake City at around 4.35 local
    time, or 5.35pm in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis Fire Department officials and paramedics met
the flight at the gate to evaluate passengers and crew,
and 25 passengers had to be transported to local hospitals
for evaluation and care, according to CBS News.

Early reports suggest some passengers flew out of their
seats during the extreme turbulence, and some are now
being evaluated for possible broken bones.

The Airbus A330-900 had 275 customers and 13 crew members
    on board.

    . . .

Note everything on DailyMail is "horror" ...

Nothing but horrors with nut case pig trump and his genocide and tariffs and US making wars in Europe.
NATO just a US weapon sales club, trumpy their puppet, as was ByeThen, Nixon etc etc..

Anyway - these incidents seem to be INCREASING.
For whatever reasons, turbulence events are up
and there doesn't seem to be any tech for reliably
detecting bad air in advance. Evil swirls can
    develop in minutes.

An unseasonable 'cold' front IS draping down across
the central USA right now. It's not THAT cold, just
20 degrees cooler that what's been normal for the
past week. Even thus, 20 degrees CAN be enough.

In any case, if on a plane, DO keep yer damned
seat-belt on as much as possible. Seems loads
of people were flung against the ceiling and
walls enough to literally break bones. The planes
can stand more stress than the humans.

SOME people just can't STAND to sit with the
belt on. Not sure why, odd psychological thing.
Alas THESE are the people now in the hospital.

I once was an a many hours flight to Australia
Had to stand up a moment to get some blood flow in my legs
    Stewardess said: 'Please sit down'
I said: give me 2 minutes and I will"
That was OK, then I did sit down.
But you could just as well be on the way to the toilet when turbulence happens. Or grabbing something from the luggage rack..

That must be wonderful: I don't understand it at all.
