The disastrous Camp Mystic safety plans signed just days
    before catastrophic Texas flood revealed

Camp Mystic counselors had no walkie talkies during a flood
that killed dozens of children and say they were unaware
    of an evacuation plan.

The all-girls Christian summer camp, lost 27 campers and
counselors after the Guadalupe River flooded and surged by
up to 30 feet above its usual water level in the early
    hours of July 4.

Five girls and a counselor were still unaccounted for at
Camp Mystic as of Tuesday night.

Newly released records show that Texas inspectors signed
off on Camp Mystic's emergency planning just two days before
the camp was swept by raging floodwaters.

The Department of State Health Services released records
on Tuesday showing that the camp complied with a host of
state regulations regarding 'procedures to be implemented
    in case of a disaster.'

But some staffers alleged details of the plan had not
been communicated and that they were woefully unprepared
    when disaster struck.

    . . .

Most "plans" are largely ignored ... and are often
totally useless in the face of real-world challenges.
They're mostly management pretending to "do something".
Lots of words and fanfare, but ...

The real world will always throw in lots of unexpected
tricks that don't fit The Plan.

COULD the camp disaster have been prevented ? Probably
NOT alas. It'd been 100 years since anything THAT bad,
THAT fast. Nobody was listening to, or believed, the
warnings or that anything that bad even COULD happen.
It's a 'human nature' thing. Too many people crying
    "Wolf !" too often.

Relatively low-cost flood data devices COULD be
employed in local rivers, preferably disguised so
nobody fucks with them. Water-pressure devices are
old reliable tech and even 'column switch' devices
will work. Just a few bytes of data sent in if some
    threshold is exceeded ....

"Column switch" - basically a column with holes
and little floats that physically push a switch
or at least a Hall magnetic switch once they start
to float up. Zinc-based long long term batteries.

I'm curious as to whether attorneys with dollar signs in their eyes are contacting the survivors of the Camp Mystic flood and parents of girls
missing or deceased to sue the camp owners for the emotional pain of
losing their daughters due to negligence on the part of staff and
    councilors.

It would also be interesting to know if parents of the girls find
their faith in Gawd challenged in some way, as happened to millions of
the faithful in Portugal when Lisbon was leveled by a massive earthquake
on Easter Sunday centuries ago -- leading to many leaving the Roman
Catholic Church and becoming agnostics or atheists.

First we will destroy your identity. Then we will teach you your past
was evil. You will conclude yourself that your inheritance, your
homeland, your ancestors and your people are underserving of it all.
Then we will complete your dispossession and dissolve you into the final
    phase of the Kalergi Plan.

I'm sure they were there faster than the rescue crews ...

There were also cranks claiming to be holding 'found'
    kids hostage and demanding ransom.

Religions generally require no objective proofs.
You're inclined to be religious or you're not.

Dead bodies everywhere ? It's just "Gods' Greater
    Plan" ... a hermetically-sealed ideological universe.
