For political reasons, Trump is rather restricted when it
comes to direct aid to Ukraine.
However ... Vlad now seems DETERMINED to be a total asshole,
too caught up in 'conquest fever' now to be the man Trump
remembered. There is really no negotiated route out of this
mess.
Trump DOES have alternatives though - indirect war financing
and weapons supply using EU/NATO countries as proxies. Send
stuff to them - and then they pass it on to Ukraine. Better
political optics.
MOST needed are good air defenses. Russia has not had
good luck with its armor and ground forces, so constant
harassment via missiles/drones/etc has been its most
effective offense. Parts for DRONES are also a priority.
Hmmm ... has Ukraine ever emulated the old V-1s ...
cheap pulsejet engines ? Much cheaper than using
reciprocating engines and almost as fast. Modern
materials/geometry can make those kinds of engines
more efficient. They only have to run for an hour.
Un-jammable 'GPS' and remote-pilot access is the
real biggie nowadays. Used in a wave, maybe only
one in ten need remote pilots, the rest just stupidly
go to a set of coordinates and explode.
