Hertz’s AI scanner leads to $440 charge for one customer
Hertz is now using AI-powered scanners
They analyze whether damage has occurred to vehicles
. . .
So, essentially, if a single leaf hits the car
the AI will SPOT the 'damage' and Hertz will
SERIOUSLY rip you off for it.
Nope, NEVER gonna rent from them. This clearly
shows the corporate ATTITUDE - and it ain't good.
In the past, there used to be biz that basically
went by the name or description of "Rent-a-Wreck".
You could rent a 10+ year old vehicles - maybe not
so pretty - for cheap. They didn't care if there
were a few new micro-scratches. Super-great if
you needed emergency transportation rather than
trying to 'project an image'.
