Washington [US], June 24 (ANI): A Republican lawmaker has
nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace
Prize, crediting him with brokering a ceasefire between
Israel and Iran and preventing Tehran from acquiring
nuclear weapons, Fox News reported. Rep. Buddy Carter,
R-Ga., in a letter to the Nobel Committee, called
    Trump's role 'extraordinary and historic.'

According to Fox News, Carter stated that Trump had
helped end 'the armed conflict between Israel and Iran
and prevent the world's largest state sponsor of
terrorism from obtaining the most lethal weapon on
    the planet.'

    . . .

Not sure how 'official' nominations work ... likely
it takes more than a claim by one US politician :-)

Anyway, we'll see how THIS 'peace' works out. I'm
not terribly hopeful ; history is against it.

More likely Iran will buy lots of Chinese missiles
smart enough to evade IronDome plus Manhattan will
go up in a big flash before the year is out.

This will not be a Trump "failure" per-se ... he
IS trying ... but sometimes events have a momentum
    of their own.

Nevil Chamberlain was SURE he'd used diplomacy to
prevent the next big war. Failed spectacularly.
He didn't gasp the 'conqueror mentality'. However
we SHOULD credit him for TRYING.
