Be comforted. When Iran kills Americans here it because they hate democracy.

    Yep. <https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-administration-briefed-top-republicans-035047633.html>

    Congress will do nothing.

Just like they did nothing when Obama and Clinton ordered airstrikes.
    Not a peep back then.

    Actually that is correct, presidents
DO have authority to order airstikes
    without congressional approval.

    Regime change invasions like Trump
    is advocating (Iran, Greenland, Panama)
    are a different matter.

It should be seen as an impeachable offense. We're not at war with Iran and were
not on the verge of war. They are an adversary, but not an enemy.

    Nope, not a peep :-)

Even CNNs Acosta had to AGREE with Trump's decision
today. Better put him on suicide watch ....

I have no illusions that the attacks have forever
and always ended Iran's bomb ambitions and capability,
but it's decidedly bought us some TIME. Sometimes
that's the best you can do.

Iran PROBABLY has enough high-grade uranium, which
they HID AWAY, to build a number of 'dirty bombs'
or maybe two or three Hiroshima-style bombs IF
they have, or soon can, enrich it another step.

You can significantly nasty those up too. A few
bags of cobalt salts would be The Worst ... long
long term gamma contamination. You're not gonna
hide from that for long. Cheap amplifier for
    smiting the infidels.

Ugly, but the Truth. This is what we invented,
and celebrated our cleverness. Can't take it
back now, genie is out of the bottle. We are
hostage to 'sanity', which is NEVER a good
    bet when dealing with humans.

My concern - air delivery is probably OUT ... so
the next step is to smuggle them into wherever
they see as their prime opponents. USA that'd
be the LA area, maybe Chicago, NYC for sure.

A (pre-Woke) Scientific American article not too
long after 911 totally pooped on the idea that
such things can be easily detected. The normal
radiations are not very penetrating, can be
easily masked. Be it Fed-Ex or dope smugglers,
they CAN get the things in. Then a phone call,
    a few tones .........

I'm figuring they'll come in thru Canada - we
don't watch that border very well.

NEVER doubt what fanatics are willing to do
for the Glory Of God. This is nothing new in
    the human experience.
