The UberAyatollah declares that Iran will NOT surrender
or capitulate. This is in the long Islamic tradition.
You DESTROY YOUR ENEMIES or die as a martyr in the
attempt.
I think Trump/West doesn't fully understand this
cultural tradition.
Iran also promises Israel a "Big Surprise".
I suspect this means a kiloton surprise.
Nukes are OLD TECH - and I suspect Iran has
had some for awhile now. The press seems to
think nukes are almost impossible ... well,
maybe in 1945 ........
However Iran has issues DELIVERING them reliably.
Israel's air defenses are VERY good. Can't risk
wasting nukes that can't get through.
Some work-arounds may be in progress.
In any case, do NOT expect Iran to capitulate.
That's not how it works there. Better martyrdom
than surrender. All or nothing.
Iranian 'resistance' - many sources say that's
totally unformed, dis-coordinated, factionalized.
Ain't gonna happen. Also, under stress, people
just tend to stick to the 'leaders' they know.
This is all going to be VERY UGLY. Kind of
expected, but Very Ugly regardless. Not
everything has clean resolutions. Iran will
be "Death To Israel" for a LONG time.
Trump kind of promised "No More Endless Foreign
Wars". It's a good philosophy, but SOMETIMES
reality will be more ugly. No work-arounds.
I think the Iran equation will be drawn-out
and often ugly. Gotta BEAR WITH IT alas, even
if we DON'T like it. Modern world.

We're kind of back to the pre WW1 kind of
political environment. Fanatics, rads,
militants, martyrs, the whole mess.
WW-1 horribly killed MILLIONS. The term
"lost generation" came out of that.
Human history DOES seem "cyclic" alas ...
no wonder the space aliens won't talk
to us .........
