    Israel has said Greta Thunberg is 'safe and in good spirits'
    after officials intercepted her 'freedom flotilla' when it
    entered the sea close to Gaza.

    The country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) shared an
    image of the Swedish climate change activist grinning as
    a soldier handed her some bread.

    It comes after Thunberg, 22, accused IDF soldiers of
    'kidnapping' her in a pre-recorded Instagram video she
    posted around 4am local time on Monday.

    Israel's MFA mocked the activist's 'selfie yacht' carrying
    12 'celebrity' activists, saying the 'tiny amount of aid'
    on board would be 'transferred to Gaza through real
    humanitarian channels'.

    'The passengers are expected to return to their home
    countries,' the government department wrote in a
    statement shared on X.
