Big whoop. So what? It's happened dozens of times through history. You crybabies are such dweebs.

Yep. Common. There are ALWAYS landslides, floods,
    droughts, fires, quakes.

Frankly NOT the best idea to put a town in
the 'V' between high mountains ...

There DOES seem to be some species of "GW' alas.
My guess is that it's MOSTLY natural, only a bit
because of SUVs. The last ice age is STILL ending.
1000 years and we'll see tropical forests near
    the arctic circle, again.

But AlGore and Greta get their fame and funding
from promoting doomsday fantasies ... there are
always people like them and, alas, doomsayers
    are too often believed.

But, eventually, the oil/coal/gas IS gonna get a
lot more expensive to get. NUKE is the next best
alternative medium-term. PVs ... mostly made in
China ... so BEWARE. However DO look up "Vanadium
Flow Battery" - seems to be the BEST for home-
energy systems involving PVs. Don't degrade and
don't explode either. There's no sin in PV, in
    the right niches and implementations.

Look ... the ice-age is STILL ending. EXPECT
tropical forests into the arctic circle, again,
eventually. Warm wet Dino-World was not anything
    unusual, but Earth-TYPICAL.

The ultra-cold poles ARE the unusual bits.

Buy bigger SUVs .... restore Earth to normal ! :-)

Just lay back and let the space rock obliterate us rather than
    try to deflect it.
