. . .
Clue ... keep up those vitamins - no ODs required or
desired - and it apparently nixes optic nerve damage
from glaucoma.
I think a lot of people don't get enough of at least
one of these vitamins.
Do NOT overdose on B6, that can CAUSE nerve damage.
(Oh, 'energy drink' fanatics - taurine seem to be
kinda especially bad - indeed FEEDS certain kinds
of leukimia - just sayin')
The plan is "Just Enough".
I keep a pretty 'keto'/meat diet, very few carbs,
no bread, no pasta, no carby veggies, minimal fats
and oils, and can't do 'dark greens' for another
health reason. This did me pretty well. Lost lots
of weight, sugar now normal, BP normal. However
that doesn't provide EVERYTHING you need. Had to add
a little - 1/2 MDR - folate and do add a little
B12 and B6 and 'C' "just because". Talking BITS of
commercial tablets. Been on that for a long long time
now. Note that most commercial 'suppliments' are kinda
extreme overdoses - get something you can break
into fractions.
Can't find 'A'/Beta-Caro dry tabs - have to buy
capsules, open them, pour out like 1/4 doses of
BC like once a week. Annoying. Too much 'A' is
also bad for the eyes and everything.
In any case - this research shows that even minor
boosts in some vitamins CAN yield unexpected good
effects. Those with glaucoma should take especial
note - cheap and easy ... well, not 'fix' but a
way to prevent more extreme damage. MAY be some
ways soon to regenerate retinas - but if your
optic nerve is also damaged then it'll be much
more difficult. Eyes aren't really "organs" but
direct brain extensions - loads of pre-processing
and encoding involved.
Sorry, no guys, 'cyber-eyeballs' are WAY WAY off ...
