gentleman." "Monster" might be more accurate.

When I was growing up in the 70's both my niece and her brother, my nephew took martial arts classes and even though I was older and taller than they were, they were both dangerous weapons.
Of course they grew up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn where at the time
crime was 0 percent thanks to the Mafia. A rapist of child molester would not stand
a chance.
You could leave your doors, cars etc unlocked and nobody would dare go near them.
When my cousin (their mother) put the house up for sale, she got a visit from the
local "Don", a Gambino I think, but not sure, and they gave her a basket of cheer filled with
top of the line liquor and cheeses etc.
All they asked was to sell to the "right people".
LOL which of course my cousin did. The home was sold to a relative so there was no problem.
What's really interesting is that area is now mostly Muslim and an adult movie theater
