Cases of deadly E. coli food poisoning surged by nearly 80
per cent in a year, new official figures show — with six
Britons confirmed to have died from the infection.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) reported 2,063
confirmed instances of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC)
in 2022, up from 1,151 the year before.
STEC is one of the most dangerous forms of food-borne E. coli,
capable of causing life-threatening kidney failure, serious
blood clotting disorders, and has also been linked to
colon cancer.
Alongside the deaths, 399 patients were hospitalised in
England due to severe symptoms, requiring urgent medical
attention.

Don't worry too much about the alarmist 'cancer'
thing - that's "DailyMail" hype - EVERYTHING
is doom ......
However e.coli is bad enough unto itself.
There SEEMS to be a HUGE uptick in food-poisoning
cases - UK/EU and USA - of late. Not just e.coli
but good old salmonella and listeria.
Sorry, but this sounds like it's DELIBERATE.
Easiest thing in the world to smuggle in something
dipped in an evil bacteria into a food facility.
Wuhan can surely provide prime species ....
