Trump, in his visit to Quatar, inked/approved of
a HUGE trade deal which favors Boeing. Qatar wants
LOTS of big airliners ... and now Boeing is going
be the provider.
Boeing DOES have some problems - "DEI" being
the worst. However the company seems to have
finally REALIZED this problem and is acting
to correct it. MERIT must ALWAYS be the criteria.
'Color'/creed/fake-genders - NOT !
Alas, Boeing does not seem to be in a position
to deliver newer AF-1s anytime soon. It has
been DRAGGING there. An AF-1 is not just an
ordinary plane, kinda has to be a flying fortress,
something that can stay in the air and work well
even if there is an EMP attack. NOT trivial
engineering.
Trump IS accepting a Qatari "luxury" 747 on
behalf of the US Govt. No, it's NOT "his".
Says it'd be stupid to reject it.
Alas it STILL has to be seriously upgraded.
Trump is selecting a Harris Group segment
to do all that ... and can probably do it
a lot faster than Boeing. Send the plane
direct to Melbourne (FL).
The 747 is still The Best of Boeing. Strong
and very well refined. Newer models MAY be
good - but are MUCH more electronics-
dependent. Again, think "EMP".
Boeing has a number of aircraft plants, but
the MAIN one involved her is in South Carolina.
This deal should pump a LOT of tech bucks
into that state.
