President Donald Trump's willingness to accept a $400 million
'flying palace' from Qatar has enraged yet another MAGA ally,
with Ben Shapiro savaging the deal.

Trump has repeatedly hit out at critics of the deal, which
would see him accept an opulent Boeing 747 as a gift from
the Qatari royal family to use as Air Force One for the
remainder of his presidential term.

In a stunning sign of friendship, the royal family have
reportedly offered to have ownership of the plane
transferred to Trump's presidential library foundation
at the end of his term.

Shapiro weighed in on the controversy on Monday, blasting
the arrangement as 'skeezy' in a scorched earth rant
against Qatar's corruption and efforts to influence
American politics.

'Qatar is not allegedly giving President Trump a $400
million jet out of the goodness of their sweet little
hearts, no matter what special envoy Steve Witkoff says,'

as is, CAN'T produce a new AF-1 on any
kind of reasonable timetable. It's gone
WAY too 'DEI' and worse. The bosses are

Frankly, Trump SHOULD have gone with AirBus.
It'd be "diplomatic". Also something like a
gigantic A-380 would be an IMPRESSIVE AF-1.

The 747 is STILL kinda the BEST jet ever made.

An AF-1 has to be significantly tweaked. Lots
more redundant systems, lots more anti-attack
systems, VASTLY better comms. NOT a trivial
project at all. Commercial aircraft just FLY,
but an AF-1 has to be SURVIVABLE even under
nukewar conditions. NOT easy.

By reports, Trump has hired a 3rd party (a
Harris group splinter) to re-do this 'gift'
jet. The goal is "SOON". It WILL become the
official property of the USAF.

As-is ... I've seen pix ... this plane looks
exactly like what you'd expect from a Quatari
prince - like a 5-plus star hotel, that flies.
It's almost an embarrassment. Americans pref
more "business-like".

IS this a 'bribe' ??? Depends. No doubt TRUMP
will like it some, but the plane WILL pass down
to future admins. Do NOT expect Qutar to gain
any significant, or long-term, perks.

IMHO, would have been more 'diplomatic' to buy
AirBus - maybe their giant one. Of the Boeing
line the 747 was kind of the pinnacle ... would
not trust the newer DEI models.

Alas there's a huge diff between a 'commercial transport'
and a proper AF-1. LOTS of mods needed. Tons of defenses
and comms and CPU and even anti-EMP tweaks. It really
has to be a sort of 'flying fortress'.

Trump seems to want a Harris group to do the mods, quick.
Harris is a big defense/electronics/aerospace contractor with
plants in a number of places, including friendly Florida.
If you want it done fast and right, they'd be a GOOD choice.
