A quiet evening at a rural South Carolina petting zoo turned
tragic when a man was somehow attacked and killed by a kangaroo
after entering its enclosure.
Eric Slate, 52, was found dead just after midnight early
Saturday morning with 'multiple blunt force injuries' inside
an enclosure containing wallabies and kangaroos at 5 Star
Farm, according to the Horry County Police Department.
While the exact cause of death is still pending autopsy
results, Horry County councilman Dennis DiSabato confirmed
that a kangaroo was directly involved in the incident,
Fox 8 News reported.
It was unclear on Saturday what exactly the man was doing
inside the enclosure.

This is like the people who decide to play with
the lions and tigers at the zoo. Blame Disney for
the FALSE IMPRESSIONS.
Don't care WHAT you may see in cartoons ... 'roos
can be VERY dangerous and aggressive. A little shot
of springtime testosterone and they will TAKE YOU
OUT. They punch as well as any boxer and can KICK
hard enough to pulp yer innards. They are not all
that bright, don't know nuances. If you're in their
face then you're a legit target.
Apparently this wasn't even one of the much
more muscular 'red' 'roos. Natives who eat
those all look like a young Arnie - some
extreme anabolic in their systems.
Hmmm ... WOULD be interesting to synth-evolve
'roos ... add enough IQ to push them into the
human-ish sphere. Ever check our "Tank Girl" ? :-)
