The Plan is to bury the mini reactor(s?) underneath the
site of the existing coal plant near Helsinki.
Finland kinda has two 'good' choices - coal OR
Russian oil/gas. That last one is not so good
anymore ...... so ... go nuke.
USA ... alas Trump leveraged lots of coal-country
workers - which may deter building nuke plants.
'clean(er) coal' is sort-of possible, but may
be too expensive for a lot of potential users.
Typical coal has a LOT of contaminates - with
sulfur and several nasty heavy metals leading
the parade. We used up all the better anthracite
coal like 100 years ago ......
