Well my 24 Mustang GT with all the bells and whistles cost ~ $5k more this year.
    Not made in Mexico though.
I bought mine at the employee price plus extra discounts available at the time.

I got a great price but these prices today are way out of control IMHO.

    Also Conservatives: Mexican workers are
foreign, move their jobs to America.

Let's be honest ... we're not looking at
'conservatives' here per-se. We are looking
at BUSINESSMEN eager to plump their bottom
lines, make the quarterly reports look good,
    ditch western labor/safety/eco regs.

THIS is why, with Nixon in the lead, SO much
was offshored to China. NOW it's biting us in
the ass - as predicted, but IGNORED.

    Hey - QUARTERLY REPORTS !!!

    LONG-term biz/defense conditions are almost
always ignored in favor of SHORT-term profit
    figures.

Marx WAS kinda right here - 'capitalism' WILL
destroy itself given the chance. TOO many
world 'leaders' GAVE it that chance. Now .....

Trump is coming in kind of late, TRYING to
at least partially fix this. Thing is, it
may be TOO LATE. The USA/EU just CAN'T
build fast enough, cheap enough, to
    counteract Chinese/Russian control. It's
a BIG BIG problem. NOT sure there's a
    good fix.

Maybe just half-assed is the best we can do
shorter term. Well, take it .... concentrate
on 'defense' issues - chips, steel and such.

Americans want more for less, preferably
almost free, REGARDLESS of tomorrows issues.
    It's stupid and short-sighted - greedy little
swine who choose not to see Farmer Xi coming
    with the big knife.

It's the job of our leaders to see all this
however. Most do, but refuse to go against
    their big donors, big biz.

But, hey, just get lots of CREDIT CARDS and
charge them to the max ! No problems !!! Live
that lifestyle two tiers above your actual
salary !!! Pay off one CC with another !

I knew one guy awhile back, when every bank was
kinda giving away CCs. He had at least ten of
them and LOVED to flash 'em in everyone's faces.
Giant SUV and 6br mini-mansion. NOW ... buggy
old TRAILER and if it's possible to have a
    sub-zero credit rating, that's him :-)

Think 'climate' is our big prob ? Nope - it's
'fantasy finance' that's the big prob in the
USA and 'west' in general. THAT, not sweaty
days, is what will implode civilization. Even
    old-fashioned 'communism' was fantasy finance.

Work, spend a little less than you earn. THAT
is real finance. But seems few can STAND that
picture, want the gigantic discount bag of
cheese-flavored Cash-i-O's and then are totally
confused when it all goes to hell.
