The Houthi militia attacked Israel’s main international
airport with what they claimed was a hypersonic missile
that left a huge crater in the ground and injured eight
    people.

British Airways and other major airlines have cancelled
flights to Ben Gurion until at least Wednesday after the
missile struck a road near terminal 3.

Video from inside the airport showed passengers running
for cover as the missile struck in the distance. Meanwhile,
medics treated several people for minor injuries from shrapnel.

The IDF said Israel’s air defence system made “several
attempts” to intercept the missile launched from Yemen
but failed to do so, raising concerns about air defences.

    . . .

Fortunately it hit out in the parking area - the
    missile made a HUGE crater.

Of relevance, mentioned above, the IronDome system
could NOT intercept it. Either it was coming in
way too fast or there's some new trick being used.

The USA is already attacking the Houthi and now
Israel is planning to step things up too. However
despite damage done, the Houthi both had and
were able to fire this weapon.

Iran does claim to make a sort of 'hypersonic'
missile now. Probably not as fast as Russian
or Chinese models, but apparently too fast
for IronDome. If the Houthi have MORE ....
