The word "woke" originally was used by black Americans to one another to urge that they be aware, i.e. awake, to the fact that although lots of progress has
been made in trying to eradicate segregation, discrimination and displays of overt racism, there still is a lot of systemic and hidden racism. There *is* still a lot of systemic and hidden racism, and in the Trump era, a renewal of vile overt racism. That's an indisputable fact.
Racist Nazis like the cipher, c186282, want to deny that fact. They can't attack
the fact head-on and try to refute it, because of low intellect, so instead they
just sneer at it. But it doesn't make the fact go away.
There is no such thing as a "woke" university. Universities tend to attract a lot of people, both faculty and professors, who are fully aware of of the continued existence of systemic and hidden, and increasingly overt, racism. Those people once would have been described as "woke," but today, they are described as honest and right and courageous.
