For the love of Christ, please bring back DEI:

    | [SedDef Hegseth Chief of Staff Joe] Kasper would later work
    | at the Department of Homeland Security, the Navy and the
    | Air Force in the first Trump administration and as a
    | lobbyist. But critics say he quickly ran into trouble with
    | his new job at the Pentagon.
    |
    | He was often late to meetings and developed a reputation
    | for dropping the ball on critical tasks with little
    | follow-up, according to three people who witnessed his
    | behavior. Another person familiar with his management said
    | he "lacked the focus and organizational skills needed to
    | get things done."
    |
    | While some who know him say he was fun and charming, three
    | of the people said he frequently berated officials in
    | meetings and repeatedly referred to military officials by a
    | lower rank.
    |
    | And at times, Kasper's detractors say his leadership seemed
    | almost juvenile. He graphically described his bowel
    | movements to colleagues in one high-level meeting,
    | according to two people who were in the meetings.
    |
    | During that meeting, "he turned [and] he goes, 'Can I just
    | tell everyone around this table that I just took an
    | enormous shit right before coming in here?'" according to
    | two people who were present.

This happens. There will be an inquiry to see if it could have
been prevented, but they might conclude it is just one of those
things. When you make a carrier combat adjacent, expensive
    accidents will accident. Expensively.

If they need to get a plane or helicopter off the flight deck and
naught else avails, they will push it overboard.

    Abstract:
This study examined the incidence of neckwear tightness among a group of 94 white-collar working men and the effect of a tight business-shirt collar and tie on the visual performance of 22 male subjects. Of the white-collar
men measured, 67% were found to be wearing neckwear that was tighter than
their neck circumference. The visual discrimination of the 22 subjects was evaluated using a critical flicker frequency (CFF) test. Results of the CFF test indicated that tight neckwear significantly decreased the visual performance of the subjects and that visual performance did not improve immediately when tight neckwear was removed.

Neck in Relation to Visual Performance." Human Factors 29,
