    This is called "wasting disease" in local deer/moose/elk
    populations. YOU can get it by eating the meat. There is
    NO cure at all - will eat yer brain full of holes.

    This "wasting disease" started at canned hunting reserves in the Rocky
    Mountain area decades ago. The elk and deer were fed meat, including
    brains, by the people managing the canned hunting reserves. It was a
    man made disease caused by the greed and stupidity of the people running
    the reserves and inadvertently supported by the clients of the canned
    hunting reserves. Wild elk and deer are not eat meat eaters.
