This escalating trade war, esp with China, is
gonna double/triple/quadruple the price of
much tech stuff Real Soon. Once existing
inventories are used up - BOOM !
It will get better, eventually, but 'eventually'
could be a year or two.
Big-screen ? Laptop ? I-PHONE ??? Wow !
Apple is already trying work-arounds ... buy
all the little parts from China/Vietnam and
then send 'em to INDIA for final assembly
to dodge the worst tariffs. Betcha that ain't
gonna work for long .
Samsung phones ... prob gonna see a boom.
Face it, Apple and many others just are NOT
gonna build USA factories. Too many expenses,
permits, licenses, unions, wage laws etc.
Tech works also require lots of TIME to build,
arrange for parts and tune-in the production
line. That is a detail Trump does NOT seem
to get. WW2, you could slap up a steel works
and ship-building facility kinda QUICK. Not
always so easy these days.
